How presidential candidate Nancy Kalembe plans to better lives of the Ugandan women

Female Presidential candidate Nancy Kalembe who is campaigning in Eastern Uganda has revealed her plans to change the lives of the Ugandan women.

With different reports indicating how few women have access to sanitary pads while addressing her supporters in Mbale, Kalembe said Ugandan women are very entrepreneurial, hardworking and government has no business buying them pads.

“Government has no business paying women pads. It’s one of the most intimate side of women and I wouldn’t want a man paying me pads,” said Kalembe

Kalembe also said that her government will ensure all Ugandan women can afford pads .

She added that buying the women pads is blinding them from the real issue and encouraging poverty.

“They are enabling poverty; I want you to teach me how to fish not put fish in my mouth. That is what government is trying to do,” said Kalembe

Kalembe also said that government is trying to make people think that it’s helping them yet it’s actually destroying them.

She added that in her government women will have a right to make their own decisions.

“I want you to get married because you feel it’s the right time to get married, have children because you feel it’s time to have children, don’t have children because someone is promising you money,” said Kalembe.
