Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) presidential flag bearer Gen. Mugisha Muntu has said that Ugandans need to understand that politics is at the core of their livelihoods and if it goes wrong, everyone can be affected.

Muntu said in the dynamics of change, there is ascending and descending forces and currently President Yoweri Museveni is on top of a descending force while the opposition is on top of an ascending force.

“If you compare President Museveni and our past, yes, we have made progress. But if you compare him to where we are supposed to be, we are very far behind,” Muntu said while appearing on NTV The Spot.

Muntu explained that the current dynamics favour change and for this Ugandans must invest in it to be able to oust the regime.

“If you want change, fund it. For Museveni, he just raids tax payer’s money to fund his campaigns. None of his MPs sells their cows to fund their campaigns, they use tax payer’s money,” he said.

Muntu said that as ANT, they are trying to create an organisation where people are not following an individual but come together because of ideals and common values.
