NRM’s Roger Mulindwa condemns security raid on NUP offices, says political parties deserve leveled playing ground

NRM’s Communication manager Roger Mulindwa has condemned the joint security raid on the National Unity Platform (NUP) offices in Kamwokya.

Last week on Wednesday, security operatives from the army, police, and Local Defence Unit raided the NUP offices where they confiscated red berets, t-shirts, brand materials, CCTV footage and umbrellas among others.

Mulindwa says as NRM party they felt bad seeing security operatives raid the National Unity Platform (NUP) offices.

He says security agencies should give all parties their freedom to operate by creating conditions that allow a leveled political playing field.

“President Museveni doesn’t need to make an attack on NUP offices to win an election,” Mulindwa says. However, he also faults NUP for allowing violent elements thrive amongst them.

Mulindwa disclosed that NRM will soon disperse teams that will move across the country to hold reconciliation discussions especially with those that lost in primaries.
