I was treated like garbage in FDC — Nabilah Naggayi

The Executive Board of the National Unity Platform (NUP) approved Hon. Nabilah Naggayi Sempala as the party flag bearer for Lord Mayor of Kampala. Nabilah beat Sheik Sali Kudra as she scored 83 per cent against Sheik Sali’s 45 per cent.

Nabilah says the trust from NUP has given her a fresh start in the politics of Kampala.

“I went in to do a job interview in NUP and I focused on the panel. I am here to stay and I know these are the people who stand for the underprivileged especially the women,” says Nabilah.

The Kampala Woman MP reveals that NUP has finally saved her for sour marriage with FDC.

“I was treated like garbage in FDC. To me to get an opportunity in a new political party with decades of hate is a joy,” Nabilah says.

She adds, ““The humiliation I went through while at FDC can never be forgotten and now is the time for me to show them what I am capable of.”

NUP’s Kampala Lord Mayor aspirant position fell vacant last week when Kawempe North MP Mr Latif Sebaggala opted out of the race a few hours after being confirmed the party flag bearer.

Nabilah’s nomination in FDC for the same position was declined by the party elections committee as it said the MP brought fake forms.
