CORONAVIRUS: In Indonesia, you’re ordered to dig graves if found without a mask

As the globe is battling to tame the second wave of the deadly coronavirus pandemic, many countries have imposed penalties to punish people for not wearing masks to fight the novel coronavirus.

In Indonesia, people who refuse to wear face masks are being ordered to dig graves for coronavirus victims as punishment. The people being punished are also not allowed to participate in funeral services.

Other punishments for flouting COVID-19 safety measures include; paying fines and doing community service.

On Sunday, Indonesia registered 3,636 new infections taking its total number of cases to 218,382. Indonesia’s coronavirus death toll stands at 8,723.

Globally, the Coronavirus Cases have reached 29,217,206, deaths are 929,066 while recoveries stand at 21,045,846.
