Today, the ministry of health officials led by Minister Dr Jane Ruth Aceng are in Lira district to launch the distribution of masks. The ministry says it has so far distributed 6,031,738 masks to 22 districts that include; Amuru, Kyotera, Buyikwe, Soroti, Arua, Adjumani, Masaka, Gulu, Lira, Mbarara, Yumbe, Kumi, Isingiro, Rakai, Busia, Tororo, Hoima, Kakumiro, Moyo, Hoima, Moroto and Ntungamo.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in Uganda, government through the ministry of health has been beefing up its various capacities to fight the deadly virus. Yesterday the ministry registered another boost to the COVID Response as it acquired two mobile laboratories, four vehicles, laboratory test kits and other consumables donated by EAC Secretariat.
