Baboon kills park ranger’s baby in Murchison Falls

A park ranger in Murchison Falls National Park lost his 11-months-old baby that mauled him over the weekend.

Aswa Regional Police Spokesperson Jimmy Patrick Okema says the rangers were attending the morning paraded when the marauding baboon entered the their camp and mauled the baby.

On hearing wails, the rangers responded and killed the baboon, but unfortunately, the baby had already lost its life.

The body of the baby, identified as Isaiah Ibrahim Enyel was taken to Anaka Hospital for post mortem and later handed over to the family.
