As wearing masks becomes the new norm across the globe , in Uganda people are using every material they come across to cover their faces.

However, the Health Ministry has always emphasized that a good mask should be made of cotton with a double layer. Masks in Uganda cost as low as Shs1000 and N95 mask that most VIPs wear costs around Shs150000 a pack.

However, as we wait for government free masks that were procured at Shs2400 each according to the health ministry, News agency ANI has shared pictures of Indian businessman Shankar Kurhade who wears a facemask made of gold and is worth 289,000 rupees (about Shs14,400,000).
