A talk has for long been making rounds that sections of Opposition leaders are mooting a plan to field joint candidates in the presidential race to defeat incumbent President Yoweri Museveni in the 2021 general elections.

Fresh news reaching us indicates that Uganda’s leading opposition figures Bobi Wine (People Power Movement) and Dr Kizza Besigye (People’s Government, FDC) have formed a united pressure group front dubbed the ‘United Forces of Change’ ahead of the 2021 general elections. The pressure group is a result of months of sustained talks.

Currently, the opposition leaders are holding a joint press conference at the Floral Hotel in Wakiso District to give more details about their new union.
