FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19: Parliament installs automatic disinfection booth

The Automated Sani-Matic Tunnel intalled at Parliament entrance.

As the country battles the Covid-19 outbreak, Parliament has installed a walkthrough automatic sani-tunnel due to fears of Members of Parliament, staff, and visitors bringing coronavirus into the premises.

MPs, staff, and visitors will be sanitized and disinfected as they walk through the machine before accessing the parliamentary premises. The machine will replace the water points and hand sanitizers that have previously been in use.

Automated Sani-Matic Tunnel is designed to quickly clean high-volume process items and human beings.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Health confirmed 36 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases from 2,230 tests. All the 36 confirmed cases are Ugandans of which 24 are truck drivers.
