Yesterday, Ruparelia Group moved to open some of the hotels and restaurants under their Speke Group of Hotels and mapped out social distancing set-ups to be followed as per the Ministry of Health guidelines.

Today, one of the hotels under the group, Speke Resort Munyonyo has hosted the first ‘scientific’ graduation ceremony in Uganda and East Africa as Cavendish University held their 9th graduation ceremony.

Social distancing has been thoroughly followed, with organizers allowing only one graduating student to sit on a table. Other students were told by the University management to follow the graduation through zoom, and online video conferencing software.
