Pastor Senyonga labels fellow ‘men of God’ Mbonye and Yiga ‘false prophets’ for giving false prophecies about COVID-19

Today, the founder and lead pastor of Bwaise-based Christian Life Ministries church Pastor Jackson Senyonga donated relief food to the residents of Bwaise and the surrounding areas at his church to help them get through this lockdown period.

Items like maize flour and beans were given to people who lined up with spaces in between one another to observe social distancing as per the Ministry of Health’s directives.

After giving out the donation, Senyonga spared a few minutes to speak to the media and it was during these few minutes that he threw hard jabs and punched big holes in the works of fellow men of God, Prophet Elvis Mbonye and Pastor Augustine Yiga.

Senyonga labelled the two as false prophets and based his conclusion on the fact that they delivered false prophecies about the coronavirus pandemic. The prophecies in question, are when Mbonye claimed he talked to God and He (God) told him that coronavirus will never come to Uganda.

Another is when Yiga claimed that coronavirus is a hoax, and that government was playing games with people to solicit for donations.

Well, you cannot blame Senyonga for his utterances because as far as we know, coronavirus was confirmed in Uganda just a few days after Mbonye’s prophesy rendering it false, and Yiga’s utterances landed him in prison for over a month.

Pastor Senyonga is not the first one to sting fellow pastors during this coronavirus outbreak. On April 3, 2020, Pastor Solomon Male of Arising for Christ Ministries also asked all those pastors that claim to have healing powers to go to the hospitals and help the Ministry of Health in healing COVID-19 patients.
