Police Political Commissar, Assistant Inspector General of Police Asan Kasingye is one of those Police Officers you can say is the most loved in the country. From his online policing mostly on Twitter and in the way he conducts his official duties, Kasingye has gained for himself public approval as a good officer.

Another person that has praised Kasingye for his Police work is Presidential Advisor on Media Affairs and political analyst Tamale Mirundi. While appearing on NBS TV this morning, Tamale praised Kasingye for the way he handled cross-border theft crimes while he was still heading the Interpol Division in Uganda.

Tamale even wishes Kasingye becomes Inspector General of Police one day.

“I hope Asan Kasingye could lead the Police one day, he is a very polished man, very diplomatic,” Tamale Mirundi said.

Mirundi also used the same time and space to condemn government plans to try to stop taxis and boda bodas, saying that government should be protecting these informal jobs people have created for themselves, as it has failed to create them.
