The hard COVID-19 times have had people show their generosity, or lack of it thereof, but we will focus on the former.

As the President extended lockdown for two more weeks, some people are finding it hard to go through some days, having either used up their savings by now, lost jobs or had their salaries reduced, and the government relief food has not reached them.

These are currently living on the mercy of God, and that of some generous people that have sent them some ka money to push them further.

The singer, who has been doing live covers of songs every Friday to help her fans with the lockdown boredom has decided to take things up a notch. This morning, the sweet-voiced singer, songwriter, and guitarist Irene Ntale decided to make a giveaway to random followers of her official Twitter page. The Nyamba singer has truly put meaning to that song, sending Shs50,000 to some people that replied on her tweet with the reason for the need of the money.

I’m serious, I know Lockdown is hard on most of us. Who wants some ka money and why? Leave your mm number on your comment too.

Instead of donating to the national taskforce which people are saying has not even delivered food relief to a quarter of the projected 1.5 million people, it is thought to be better to have people send money directly to those in need.

Ntale said she will do another giveaway soon, and we applaud her for her generosity.
