When coronavirus broke out late last year, medical experts told us that older people of above 60 years old and those with underlying health problems are the most at-risk group of people with a higher chance of succumbing to the disease.

That said, medical experts have told the younger ones to stay away from the elderly so that they don’t spread the virus to them, but some have gone on to contract the disease from other sources.

Three weeks ago, Connie Titchen, a 106-year-old UK citizen was rushed to Birmingham City Hospital in the UK after presenting pneumonia symptoms but on testing her, doctors found out that she had been infected with COVID-19.

She was subsequently put on treatment for which she responded well. Three weeks later, she was tested again and results came out negative, making her the oldest patient to beat the disease in the UK, and probably the world.

In jubilation, medical workers at the hospital lined up in the hospital hallway and clapped for Connie to congratulate her, as she was being discharged.
