Police have arrested eight more Chinese who had escaped from quarantine on Thursday by the help of a fellow Chinese who bribed officials at the Entebbe International Airport.

The eight suspects have been netted in Zombo District, Northern Uganda enroute to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). According to Police, they will be charged in our Courts of law in Kampala. Police say the hunt is still on for the remaining nationals from high-risk countries that escaped from mandatory quarantine.

Yesterday on Friday, the Ministry of Health in the company of the Uganda Police Force raided Tirupati Apartments in Naguru, Kampala and arrested over 10 Chinese nationals who had reportedly flown back into the country and were smuggled out of Entebbe International Airport.
