Ever since musician Bobi Wine real name Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu won the Kyadondo East by-election to become the constituency’s Member of Parliament, he has on numerous occasions had run-ins with the police chasing him left, right, and center citing staging of what they refer to as ‘illegal meetings.’

Although this is the case, the legislator does not seem to slow down, as he has kept on going just about his business, and Police making his business their business as well.

While appearing on NBS TV’s Morning Breeze, Bobi Wine was asked whether he is feeling the heat, or about to buckle under the pressure put on him. He replied that it is the regime that is experiencing more pressure, in the process of suffocating his political activity.

“The more the regime tries to hold me back, the more the pressure mounts on them,” Bobi Wine said.

The MP was not shy to talk about what usually happens to him during his run-ins with the Police, and said that a lot happens to his supporters behind the cameras that are mostly focusing on him.

“This not about me. This is about everyone. A lot is happening to other people while the cameras are all focusing on me. People have lost their lives in this struggle,” Bobi Wine said.

Bobi Wine is eyeing the Presidential seat come 2021.
