Last week, Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) released the results of 2019 UACE exams and Busiro South Member of Parliament Peter Sematimba was in the spotlight, as almost everyone was waiting to know how he performed.

The businessman scored a decent 13 points, and by the look of things, he is pleased with the results of all the effort he put in, although he said he expected at least 16 points.

Speaking of effort, Sematimba said that he spent Shs12 million for the 10 months he spent preparing for the exams, and this mostly went to the teachers that used to tutor him privately at is office.

Unlike other students that had to attend daily classes and preps and all those other things students in high school do, Sematimba only had lessons over the weekends, in the comfort of his offices.

Although this is the case, it was no easy thing to accomplish, as he narrated to the Daily Monitor that the weekend lessons had to start from 8 am to 6 with breaks, for teachers had to teach him everything that had been taught to others the entire week.

The legislator decided to go back to school to get the UACE because he was tired of his political opponents using his lack of it to allege that he lacks the required education qualifications to be a member of parliament, even though he had its equivalent in the USA.
