Every day that passes, the Ugandan music industry gets a new member or members whether in production, singing, videography or any other form of art.

Today we have picked out a new singing duo that goes by the stage name Hatim & Dokey who we sat down for a little chit chat about their music and style.

Real names Seruwagi Kenny (Hatim) and Nkwanga Geoffrey (Dokey), the two young and energetic artistes told us that they are ready to take on the rather competitive Ugandan music industry for they have what they referred to as ‘limitless abilities’ to do any kind of music.

The duo is notably new on the scene as they formed only last year, and decided to spend the entire year in studio fine-tuning their craft, and the result is Kakodyo ko, a dancehall song that was produced by the talented Artin Pro.

‘Kakodyo ko’ is loosely translated as ‘Your trick’, and the promising duo sings about the different tricks we have to do in order to win this game that is life.

Inspired by life, what it brings and what it takes, the good and the bad, Hatim Pro told Matooke Republic that they have a lot of unreleased music in several genres to showcase their versatility ready to be served to our ears and if it is as good as their latest release Kakodyo ko, we can’t wait to hear it. What can’t go unmentioned though, is the fact that they have to work on their video quality.
