It now a public secret that Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi and his People Power Movement have not been able to hold their planned consultation meeting at Pacific Grand Hotel in Lira Town. According to Police, the legislator failed to present a letter of consent from the hotel owners.

That aside, Bobi Wine seems to have a very high hurdle to jump with incoming allegations that hotel owners in areas where he had planned to hold his Presidential bid meetings are pleading to return venue booking deposits.

As he posted photos of the various receipts they have obtained from the venues they have booked, Bobi Wine claims that Police is under instructions from ‘above’ to disrupt their meetings.

“In the meantime, the proprietors of the venues in Adjumani and Arua have called us and are pleading to refund the deposits we had made, because they are under instructions from the authorities not to host us. They have been intimidated left, right and centre by all manner of security outfits,” reads Bobi Wine’s post in part.

After Lira, Bobi Wine was supposed to continue to other northern districts of Paidha, Zombo, Yumbe, Arua and Adjumani.
