Maddox Ssematimba live in concert
Reggae star Maddox Ssematimba is holding a live music concert today at Sheraton Hotel Gardens in Kampalan where he will take all reggae and good music lovers into a musical bliss. This is the first time that the reggae veteran (he said the legend title doesn’t suit him) is holding his own concert in Uganda.
If you groove to Nakatudde, or you have a Namagembe, don’t be shy (Wansonyi). Let her know that she is your All time Lover, take her to this concert that will show her why Kampala is the best city for partiers. The concert is probably already on.
Aruu Open Mic Festival
Gulu town is arguably the capital of the North, and it is hosting this year’s edition of Open Mic Festival all weekend. The festival is going to be headlined by Mr Parte after Parte himself BigTril, with the very talented DJ Crim on the ones and twos.
Other performances will come from music stars from the North like Allan Smokie, Otim Alpha, Nilotika band, among others. Expect fun games like face painting, camping, fishing, swimming along the Aruu Falls, among others.
Oktoberfest returns
Kampala’s beer lovers and foodies will be happy to hear that the popular rendition of the world’s largest beer and food festival, Oktoberfest (Volksfest) is back for the fifth edition and is slated for tomorrow, October 5 at the Uganda Museum.
The annual event boasts of a strong cultural union between two nations; Germany and Uganda confirming ample portions of each with the many exciting foods, beers courtesy of Tusker Lite, beer-related games and entertainment headlined by Uganda’s favourite karma queen Sheebah Karungi and the authentic Qwela band.
There will be fun beer games where the ultimate winner will be awarded a business class return air ticket from Brussels Airlines to any destination in Europe.
Johnnie Walker walked all the way to Mbale

The Ubuntu Rave is an event that appreciates East African art with a twist of Afro inspired fashion, music and dance. It is an African event celebrating African culture, African music, art and design.
