Uganda Airlines made its maiden flight to Bujumbura, Burundi today. Uganda Airlines flight number UR360 touched down at Melchior Ndadaye International Airport in Bujumbura, Burundi.
Bujumbura is the fifth official destination for the national carrier having flown to Tanzanian capital Dar-es-Salaam, Juba, Nairobi, and Mogadishu since it took to the skies last night on August 27.
The flight was manned by Captain Emmanuel Mutebi with Captain Dennis Ochom as co-pilot and Ritah Aciro as first officer.
According to Uganda Airlines website, the airline will fly from Entebbe International Airport to Melchior Ndadaye International Airport in Bujumbura three times every week.
With two more Bombardier aircrafts expected to be added to Uganda Airlines fleet next week on October 7, the airline plans to add Mombasa and Kilimanjaro to its destination routes in an effort to serve all the main routes in the region.
