Kids of these days are not easy. Where do you get the guts to take your father to court to try to force him to give you part of his wealth?

Well, a one Jordan Ssebuliba has loads of such guts. Reports reaching our desk indicate that Ssebuliba, a son to city businessman Mohan Kiwanuka and former Finance Minister Maria Kiwanuka has repeatedly dragged them to court to force an audit of his brain to confirm whether Kiwanuka is not demented.

According to Ssebuliba, Kiwanuka is too old and deemed mentally unfit to run the numerous businesses he owns. Ssebuliba collected some of his siblings and ganged up on Kiwanuka to give them their share, prodigal son style.

Mohan Kiwanuka is the proprietor of Oscar industries, Radio One and Radio Two (Akaboozi ku bbiri) and other businesses in Uganda.

Kiwanuka says that Ssebuliba is not his biological son but he has always given him everything he ever needed to succeed in life, taking him to good schools in Uganda and sponsored his Laws degree in the UK.

“I brought him up as my own son. I gave him education from the best schools including England. I got him a job when he came back here, we even sponsored his wedding,” Kiwanuka said.

Ssebuliba has been trying to change land titles from Kiwanuka’s name to his and trying to put caveats on other properties but the Lands Office has been wise enough to detect his fraud and blocked him.

Kiwanuka says that he is mentally alright and is still able to run his businesses. He is now moving to remove Ssebuliba’s name from all their property.
