Uganda is soon to be renamed the “Festival Pearl of Africa” for the very many festivals we have. A new festival is added to the Ugandan social calendar almost every other month and Ugandans gladly come out in big numbers to enjoy whatever the festival is serving.

The same story happened yesterday, Sunday, at the maiden edition of the Wines, Cocktails and Whisky Festival at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel gardens, bringing a unique experience for the festival attendees.

The festival themed “A Toast To Greatness” fetched a calm state of cheerfulness and life. It gave an important message to party-goers to approach life in a celebratory way which is non-serious as the crowd was seen peacefully relishing the event.

Besides the wine, cocktails and whiskey tasting, a variety of activities entertained the people. These included classic music, board games and auction sessions among others.

The event was proudly sponsored by Matooke Republic, Jumia Food, Jumia Party, Jumia Travel, Radiocity, Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Arrow Fusion and Evolve Uganda.

Martin Mukama, the event organisers vowed to make the second edition bigger and better so that the event becomes more magical.
