Controversial singer Bebe Cool will never seat in any ministerial office as a leader. Appearing on Spark Television yesterday evening during Miles Rwamiti’s Koona Show, the make it Easy singer revealed that he can turn down a government ministerial role.
“I can turn down an offer of being a minister because I don’t have the knowledge to do that. Unless they create an entertainment ministry for that I can accept office because its music that defines me,” Bebe Cool said.
The Silent Majority advocate believes that public offices are met for experienced, learned and qualified individuals. He says the bandwagon of artistes contesting for public offices is losing meaning because many are very ‘ignorant’ about responsibilities of those offices.
Bebe Cool who was recently voted as one of the advisors of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) says he has more years to uplift the music industry and this year his group, Gagamel will be opening up their record label.
“I am not getting back what I invest in my music videos but I have to keep investing in order to tighten the competition in our music industry,” Bebe Cool said.
