Earlier this year, Wendy and Kent, two rising young artists signed under UG Records, showed that they are among the next big stars of the local music industry. As they released a collaboration titled ‘Tonsobola,’ complete with audio and video, which went on to become viral soon after its release.
Now the duo’s unusual ability both in studio and on stage is already bearing the singers rewards. Wendy and Roger will be thrilling revelers at the Tusker Lite Neon Rave party in Mbarara this Good Friday at the Rotary grounds in Mbarara town. They will share a stage with songstress Vinka, who is the headlining artist.
Entrance to the party is Shs10,000 only. Organisers have called on Mbarara party lovers to come in threes and experience an absolutely exclusive party suited to help them unwind, have fun, and meet new friends as they enjoy the fresh taste of Tusker Lite.
The event will also showcase contemporary dances from the Tusker Lite neon dancers, as well as a DJ mixes from CJ Crim, DJ Alberto, fun games, silent discos among others.
Wendy and Kent are talented young stars who have surely started their rise to fame thanks to their mind-blowing voices and energetic performance on stage. Before their “Tonsobola’ collaboration, individually Wendy had gained notice for her single “Wotoba,” while Kent Roger was also garnering attention for “Cheza Mummy.”
The duo’s career is a product of the revamped UG Records, which returned to business recently after a six year hiatus and signed them.
Wendy first caught public attention when she did a tribute song online early this year in honour of the late Mowzey Radio.
