Former president of the Forum for Democratic Party Dr. this has today afternoon had to be whisked away from Bulange, Mengo, after he was a seemingly violent group of youths attacked him shouting chants against him and indicating their preference of People Power and its chief Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.

This occurred outside CBS FM premises, after Dr. Besigye emerged from an appearance on the radio’s political programme, Parliament Yaffe. After the show, Dr Besigye addressed the media and was proceeding to his vehicle when the group charged, surrounding him as they shouted chants against him.

“We want Bobi, not Besigye,” they sang as they surrounded him. Besigye stood akimbo, smiling at the attackers who were kept off by Besigye’s aides, who helped him into his car, and sped off.
