Hip-hop star Fik Fameica has come out to refute claims that he is the artiste whom fast-rising newcomer John Blaq was referring to when the latter said that a certain musician is going around paying DJs not to play his music.
During a radio interview last week, John Blaq said there’s an artiste paying DJS not to play his music, but he didn’t mention the artiste’s name. But even as John Blaq dropped no name, different pockets of the media subsequently dropped in Fik Fameika’s name as the artiste John Blaq was referring to, and the media said it was particularly Fik’s manager Karma Ivan who was spearheading the aggression by Fik’s camp against John Blaq.
“John Blaq is my friend, we have no bad blood between us whatsoever, people are just trying to create friction between us” Fik told Matooke Republic.
“And besides, there’s no DJ that you can pay to stop playing anyone’s song. The people saying those things are just out there to tarnish my name.”
On whether he dropped his manager, Kama Ivan, as it has been widely reported, Fik Fameica says Ivien is still his manager, however he has decided to add onto him another manager so that he can have two managers working together on his brand.
