As the war of words and public stunts between estranged celebrity couple Herbert and Dorothy Shonga blazes on, Herbert Shonga has come out to counter the general opinion the masses have had that it was the wife Dorothy who had all the money and the business brains in the relationship. In a lengthy Facebook where he speaks about different things, zeroing down to the financial side Herbert (who has made his relationship with singer Sasha Brighton a public affair) says that he is actually the one who had the money and the business brains in his 15-year relationship with Dorothy.
“My wife is very smart and calculative, yes,” Herbert said about Dorothy, ‘But that doesn’t mean I was a doll. I am actually a very intelligent guy who works very hard and smart, and I have always been the one with more money and better business brains. We worked together as a team to build everything we owned together, but as I have told you this head of mine isn’t easy.”
on the battle for property such as cars and houses, Shonga said in the long run the world will know who of him and Dorothy owned what. Particularly on the cars which Dorothy said she was going to get back from him because they are hers and registered in her names, Herbert says he actually gave Dorothy the money to buy the cars and he has evidence of the bank transfers, and that he has for some time tried to get her to change the ownership documents to his names but she played smart and refused to have it so.
Herbert went on to reveal that he was often behind him and Dorothy’s business deals, using his own brains and finances to set up the deals and see them through though Dorothy would also be a part of the deals.
Herbert also said that part of the reason their relationship has hit the rocks is because Dorothy betrayed him several times when they were going about business deals, trying to side-step him and get all the money from the deals for herself. he gave an example of when he hatched a deal that involved meeting the president of Malawi on a project where they would get a cut, but then in dealing with the Malawian State House Dorothy tried to get the State House officials side-stepping him (Herbert) so she would have all the money from the deal to herself.
