Jamaican singer Mr Vegas to come down to Uganda not for a performance but campaign for Bobi Wine to become president
Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi’s visit and performance at the Rebel Salute, Jamaica, just won’t stop bearing fruits. The latest is world-renown Jamaican singer Mr Vegas further falling in love with Bobi Wine’s People Power agenda and pledging to actively give a hand to the Ugandan singer-politician’s cause.
Through his official Twitter handle, Vegas early this morning expressed his desire to come down to the Pearl of Africa, not just for musical performances but to campaign for Bobi Wine if he stands for president.
“I will come and campaign for you when you are ready bro! Africa Stand Up! This is the future! I met this man! He could have stuck to his music & watch our people’s suffering continue. The sacrifice is real,” Vegas tweeted.
Bobi Wine is currently in Washington DC where he over the weekend made performances under the Kyarenga Extra tour. On Tuesday the legislator posted on his various social media platforms expressing his honour of meeting and holding a discussion with Rev Jesse Jackson, leader of the Civil Rights Movement in the United States. The youthful politician is seen by many as the commendable candidate that can put President Yoweri Museveni’s more than 30 years’ rule to an end.
