Museveni reshuffles Cabinet, age limit removal pushers Magyezi and Nabakooba rewarded with Ministerial positions

President Museveni has exercised the powers vested in him by the 1995 constitution of Uganda to reshuffle the Cabinet “in pursuance of the goals of the NRM and Ugandans in general.”

Most Ministers have kept their positions whereas a few have been moved to new positions.

The Vice President, Prime Minister and his two deputies are unchanged but Gen. Kahinda Otafiire has been moved from the Justice Ministry to Ministry of East African Affairs.

Frank Tumwebaze from the ICT Ministry to Ministry of Gender Labour and Social Affairs, whereas Betty Kamya has been moved from Ministry of Kampala to Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban development.

Age limit removal pushers Rafael Magyezi and Judith Nabakooba have been rewarded with Ministries of Local Government and ICT respectively. Idah Nantaba has been sidelined altogether.
