After being rearrested by Police last week on orders of President Museveni, Asadu Wamala, the director of Wamala Mixed Secondary School was interrogated after which Police spokesperson Fred Enanga revealed that Wamala claimed to be impotent and so he could not engage in any sexual intercourse.

Police decided to conduct medical tests to verify Wamala’s defense statement. However, according to Police, the results showed that the school director is ‘tick’ in bed as he is capable of ‘saluting’ and having sexual intercourse.

“For now, let him leave his claims of impotence for his defense,” said Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) spokesperson, Charles Twine.

“The critical thing in a defilement case is penetration and we have proved that. It does not matter whether he used his hand, tongue or any other body part. We were not trying to prove whether he could father children,” Twine added.

Police further revealed that Wamala will now have to appear before court for trial as the Directorate of Public Prosecutions has sanctioned charges of aggravated defilement against him.

Police also confirmed the arrest of the school matron who voluntarily neglected students’ complains and concealed the sexual acts of Wamala.

Earlier last month, Wamala was arrested by Mpigi Police and later brought to court. But Mpigi Magistrate Maureen Mukayo released him on bail sighting that the accused had a constitutional right to be granted bail.

However, President Museveni complained about the court’s decision and ordered for the re-arrest of Wamala.
