In August this year, Minister of State for Privatisation and Investment Evelyn Anite came out and said there is a plan by mafias in government to kill her.
“The plan by the mafias is to take Anite out of the picture, I might die but history will judge them. You know the mafias, they are the ones who have been blocking the audit,” she said.
However, Anite vowed to die fighting and save Uganda Telecom Limited (UTL) by replacing its boss Twebaze Bemanya as well as exposing bad characters in government.
Anite’s efforts seem to be yielding fruits as she looks to be winning against his invisible opponents.
Last week, President Museveni sided with Anite and ordered Justice Minister Kahinda Otafire to replace UTL boss Twebaze Bemanya because of his continued clashes with a very active muzukulu Anite.
Anite’s opponents must be looking at her now with teary eyes as the youthful minister keeps winning against them.
The latest coming in is that she has been awarded as the best performing minister by President Museveni at the Uganda Responsible Investment Summit and Award ceremony held over the weekend.
“Pleased to have been recognized and awarded with best performing minister award at the Uganda Responsible Investment Summit and Award ceremony,” Anite said.
