Johnnie Walker Highball tour’s northern debut lights up Gulu town

Gulu party animals will surely live to remember Saturday night as the day the town exploded with the biggest party during the Johnnie Walker Highball Tour that made its debut in the northern town.

The town that is the party hub of the northern region got a chance to experience the highball in all its glory at the well-lit O Café which played host to the tour.

Being the fun loving party animals that they are, revelers in Gulu left no stone unturned as they partied till the wee hours of the morning to Selector Jay’s DJ mixes.

 Selector Jay who is the main face of the tour got fans and revelers wild as he left his expertise that is spinning discs and took up bar-tending making the Highball for revelers who flooded O Café as early as 7 p.m to get a glimpse of the superstar DJ.

With Deedan as the MC, the night couldn’t get any better as her and Selector Jay paid homage to the region by including local Acholi music in their mix.

It was a full night.

By midnight, all bets were off as revelers where taken on a blissful musical journey by Fik Fameica who was the headlining act of the night performing   songs like Gw’abisobola, his collaboration with Byaxy ,Tubikole, Tonsukuma, Ndiwanjwulo, but it was his My property song that got the crowd wild onto the dance floor at the overly parked O café.

Speaking to journalists at the event, UBL’s Roger Agamba could not hide his excitement on how the event had turned out.

“The Highball had to make it to Gulu town and with what we have witnessed here I can proudly say it has been an amazing night for our consumers for whom we are doing all of this. Them experiencing the Highball in its full glory is intended, this has been an enthralling night. Let’s Keep Walking,” said Roger International Premium Spirits Brand Manager.

The night ended with a performance from Gulu’s very own Mr. EeZzy whose local touch, vigor and enthusiasm saw him end the show on a powerful note performing songs like Mak Mukemi, Tyekene among others closing the show on a high as Selector Jay, DJ Frisco, DJ Richie and MC Fabulous took revelers on a show-stopping roller-coaster of fun exciting and entertaining moments that left many partying way into the wee hours of Sunday morning.

The tour is expected to make five stops in major towns around the country with Fort Portal coming next on November 9.
