MP Muhammad Nsereko says the real enemies of Uganda are officials that are corrupt, steal drugs and sleep on duty

After President Museveni and presidential hopeful Bobi Wine last week accused each other of failing Uganda, Independent Member of Parliament for Kampala Central, Muhammad Nsereko has said the ‘real’ enemies of Uganda are those officials who fail to serve their purpose when appointed or voted to public offices.

“The actual enemy of this country is someone who goes to sleep on duty while Ugandans are hacked to death, steals drugs from hospitals, that person who presides over the supervision of the central bank yet banks collapse and people lose their jobs,” Nsereko said while appearing on NBS TV’s Morning Breeze.

The other enemies of Uganda according to Nsereko are those that attack personalities with an aim of creating scene just to destabilize the nation.

The former NRM party member said President Museveni has also made statements against Uganda before.

“When the president was abroad, he once said that in Uganda he has thieves, does this encourage foreign investment?” he asked.

Nsereko said Museveni should always be selective of his statements because every single statement he says against any Ugandan carries weight.
