Lillian Mbabazi proves she is the queen of live band

Saturday night was nothing short of musical bliss for the revellers who attended singer Lillian Mbabazi’s solo show at the Design Hub in Bugolobi.

The former Blu 3 star had revellers getting all nostalgic as she performed some of her biggest hits from years past, doing songs like Vitamin and Danger that left the crowd smitten.

The event that kicked off at 8:00pm attracted many of the singer’s fans and these would soon be up and dancing to the likes of “Kawa”, “Daggala” and “Vitamin” but it was “Memories”, her collaboration with singer A Pass that got the crowd wild.

Speaking to her fans between her performances, Lillian shared her gratitude towards her fans for their continued support and love.

Lilliam Mbabzi was joined on stage by Kenneth Mugabi.

“I cannot tell you how overjoyed I am seeing you guys here today. You guys are my blessings, the reason why I do what I do,” she said.

She went on to perform “NdibeeraNawe,” a song from her former group Blu 3 and a tribute to the late Mowzey Radio that left revelers in amazement.

The platform which is sponsored by Johnnie Walker Highball is a monthly musical experience that showcases some of Kampala’s most-admired musicians set in a studio-like setting to give fans an intimate and up-close experience with their favourite artists.

“This platform is one of the many amazing things that we want to bring through our Highball experience. We are happy to give our customers not only a good time but a taste of good music,” said Roger Agamba, UBL’s International Premium Spirits Brand Manager.

The event ended with Lillian giving guests a sample of her new album, a truly fitting culmination of a night that kept revelers on their feet.
