21-year-old National Resistance Movement (NRM) supporter, Baker Kasumba was yesterday evening attacked and crucified by unidentified men around Kalerwe.
According to the statement from police, Kasumba who was on his way from work (JESCO Plaza near HAM Shopping Center) to his mother’s place was confronted by two men who first hit him on the head.
“He became unconscious but they grabbed him and hammered two six-inch nails in his hands,” reads part of the police statement.
However, two ladies who were looking for their missing child spotted the ruthless incident and made an alarm that prompted the two men to run away.
Police of Kibe zone in Kalerwe came to the scene and immediately rushed Kasumba to Mulago Hospital.

Police say they have already got a statement from Kasumba who said that a day before the gruesome incident, two men approached him at his workplace advising him to stop supporting President Museveni and NRM.
Police believe it was a planned and an organized attack on Kasumba.
“Such political violence cannot be allowed in Uganda. We shall not accept this kind of political intimidation and whoever is using it should desist from it,” Police say.
