East Africa’s Biggest Afro-beats Festival dubbed “East Meets West” set to rock Kampala

Party goers in Uganda should brace themselves for the new luxury outdoor festival dubbed ‘East meets West’ that is slated to take place on August 17 at Lugogo Hockey grounds.  

Happening for the first time, the Afro-fusion day festival is an annual event that will be bringing East and West African creative’s together to not only create art but also make magic happen through music.

The event that is sponsored by Johnnie Walker Highball is a mixed bag of East and West African artists from Kenya, Uganda and Nigeria with acts such as Nigerian star, Mayorkun, Oxlade, Karyn, Irene Ntale, Lagum among many more artists that are lined up for the Festival.

Aside from musical acts, the event will also include cultural presentations with opportunities given to fashion vendors, food vendors and arts and craft stalls and cultural exhibitions including a lineup of some of Uganda’s coolest DJ’s like DJ Simples and DJ Teyi and many more.

Advanced tickets to the event are going for Shs60,000 sold at House of Walker at Kampala Sheraton Hotel and Shs100,000 at the Gate.
