Uganda Cranes forward Emma Okwi signs for Egyptian club Al Ittihad Alexandria

Less than two weeks since the climax of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations where Algeria emerged victors, Uganda Cranes players must have proved themselves worthy to the scouts who flocked Egypt.

News reaching us indicates that Cranes striker Emmanuel Okwi has joined Al Ittihad Alexandria Club of Egypt putting the tally of Ugandans who have joined Egyptians clubs since the end of 2019 AFCON to three.

Emmanuel Okwi proved vital to Uganda Cranes in Egypt where he scored twice to lead the Cranes to the last 16 of the tournament. Okwi has been playing for Tanzanian giants Simba SC.
