NBS Boss Kin Kariisa says many youths own phones that are worth the money that can start up a good business

It’s common nowadays that the youth especially those in the ‘slay’ circles love going with the trend both in fashion and electronic gadgets. However, while making an address at the NBS Housing Baraza, Next Media boss, Kin Kariisa urged youths to focus more on business trends than fancy material trends.

“I work with many young people who own the latest iPhones, Samsung and HTC gadgets costing in the range of Shs3 million to Shs4 million but they are renting. That money can start your mortgage,” Kariisa said.

Kin Kariisa said that Uganda has one of the youngest populations in the world and it should be used for the good.

He cited an example that blends well with the housing theme saying, “As these young people move to urban areas in search of opportunities, the demand for more houses is bound to continue rising.”

He said individuals and government must invest in real estate to cover the vacuum.

“While owning a home is a dream many of us are living, this reality remains out of reach for millions of Ugandans,” he said.

“Finally, I do believe that the ideas exchanged here will go beyond this event and set off a wider conversation, and hopefully we will get tangible results aimed at preparing our country for the future,” he added.
