The People Power Movement has on Wednesday morning unveiled a leadership structure with a mission to dislodge the incumbent National Resistance Movement (NRM) party from power come 2021.

According to Joel Ssenyonyi, the People Power’s Spokesperson, the structure starts from the Leadership Council headed by Kyadondo MP, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, Regional Coordinators, District Coordinators and will soon roll out to Parish and Village levels all through the country.

Also among the structures are coordinators for Youth, Women, People With Disabilities and the Ugandans leaving in the Diaspora. Among the members unveiled today include card holding members from the NRM, Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Democratic Party, Uganda People’s Congress, Mugisha Muntu’s new Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) and Independent Members of Parliament.

Ssenyonyi said that the composition of People Power by members of other parties is part of the Movement’s ideology to give a platform to all leaders – regardless of where they are from to give the power that Museveni’s NRM “ursurped” back to their constituents.

Among the members in the structure include prominent politicians such as Kasese Municipality MP, Winnie Kiiza, Medard Lubega Sseggona, Francis Zaake, Asuman Basalirwa, Anna Adeke, Brenda Nabukenya, Paul Lutamaguzi and Gaffa Mbwatekamwa.
