Uganda She Cranes make it to the Netball World Cup second stage

Uganda She Cranes is living the dream at the ongoing 2019 Netball World Cup in Liverpool, England. The She Cranes won two games in Group D, 52-43 against Scotland and 69-48 against Samoa to secure a slot in the second stage of the world cup. The second stage starts today Monday.

Pastor Bugingo in the spotlight, again!

Controversial Pastor, Aloysius Bugingo of the House of Prayer Ministries on Wednesday made utterances about his wife Teddy Naluswa that she sexually starved him for 10 years. Bugingo also said that during those years he braved treating his wife who was suffering from Fistula. However, the remarks attracted a public backlash with women threatening to demonstrate forcing the pastor to publically and apologise.

Joseph Kabuleta arrested

Controversial City Pastor Joseph Kabuleta was on Friday arrested at Drew and Jacs Patisserie at Forest Mall, Lugogo. According to police, this was because of his social media posts in which he referred to President Yoweri Museveni as “a Gambler, Thief and Liar.”

He is being detained at the Special Investigations Unit in Kireka.

Fresh Daddy; talk of the town

The Father of Uganda’s youngest rapper, Paul Mutabaazi aka Fresh Daddy was the talk of the town last week after he released his maiden song Mazike. The song received mixed feedback as some said it’s a mockery of the music industry while others applauded it for adding spice to the industry.

Mukwano bows out

Renowned city businessman, Amiral Karmali, the founder of Mukwano Group of Companies on Wednesday night breathed his last at his home in Kololo. He died at the age of 89.

Mukwano Group is an industrial conglomerate that manufactures cooking oils, fats, toilet soaps and cosmetics to industrial plastics and detergent.
