Disowned by his father at 3 years, singer Myco Chris is giving away maiden concert proceeds to charity

UK based Ugandan singer Myco Chris is set to hold his first ever music concert in Uganda after 25 years of contributing to the industry. The concert slated for August 2, 2019 at Kampala Serena Hotel has been dubbed ‘Give a Hand’ Charity Concert.

While addressing media earlier today, Myco Chris said that having come from a humble background and with all the mess he faced during his childhood, it’s time for him to give back to the community.

“My parents separated when I was 3 years old. My father decided to disown and abandon us (Chris and the mother) but a Good Samaritan paid all my primary and secondary school fees,” Chris said.

He added, “Now I have to use my current status to also elevate others who are in need.”

Through his Ugandan based Kainos Foundation, Myco Chris revealed that proceedings from the concert will be distributed to various orphanage homes of choice countrywide.

In his 25 years’ experience in the music industry, Myco Chris has done too much collaboration with Ugandan artistes but his popular hit song among them was Zino Ennaku which he did alongside the Late Mowzey Radio and Weasel Manizzo.

His concert is expected to host high profile eminent personalities, fellow musicians, fans and corporate institutions.
