I gave music a break when I lost my mum — Ceaserous speaks out on musical drought and relationship with Sheilah Gashumba

In 2017, Uganda danced to the tunes of Dangerous – a song that ruled the airwaves and clubs. The artiste, Solomon Ssentongo alias Ceaserous became a national sensation – for a while.

Out of the blue, the seemingly shining star went dark without warning. Our snoops caught up with the singer at the premiere of his new song Ebirowozo and asked him why.

Ceaserous says he took a musical break when his mother who he described as “everything to him” passed on.

Her death greatly affected his life, forcing him to put music on hold for some time but he has since bounced back and his new album is nearing completion.

Ceaserous also refuted claims that he dated TV Personality Sheilah Gashumba saying that they are only connected because they went to the same school. “She is like a sister to me. I can’t sleep with the person whom I take like my sister. I respect her a lot,” the singer said.
