Veteran (or should we even say legendary?) musician Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone is set to clock 40 years  tomorrow –April 30. And a mega party befitting the occasion has reportedly been organized, to take place at the singer’s bar, DNA Longue along Acacia Avenue in Kololo.

Now Matooke Republic has learnt that guests who turn up to celebrate with the musician will have to pay an entrance fee to be part of the proceedings!

We understand there’s some kind of open invitation to the public, especially the fans of Chameleone, to show up and celebrate with the singer. But whoever shows up will have to pay sh10,000 to be allowed into the event. Those needing VIP treatment will pay Sh200,000 for a reserved table, while there will even be booths going at sh250,000.

But perhaps it will be worth paying to attend the event, given it seems to have been scheduled to turn out a concert of sorts.

Reportedly the party will be hosted by comedian Patrick Salvador, with a line-up of some of the best DJs in Uganda working the turntable –DJ Slick Stuart, Deejay LL, DJ Jose, DJ Urban Star, DJ Galuvo, MC Sheila Salta, MC Hypeman…

Fireworks, a live band and performances from artistes are also on the activity line-up.
