Show Time Comedy is a new rib-cracking show that will be held every Wednesday evening at Lit Lounge (the former Diners Longue) in Bukoto. However, the Grand Launch of the weekly comedy evening is set for this Sunday (Easter Sunday), with revelers paying Sh20,000 for ordinary tickets and Sh300,000 for V.I.P access.

The line-up of comedians set to flag off the weekly show includes; Okello Okello, Kalera, Godi, Mawulana & Reign , Crazy University, OJ & Laptop, among others. While songstress Winnie Nwagi will be providing a musical background to the comedy acts.

Now, the show’s chief organizer Nduga Moses aka Dex (the boss of Deep Entertainment Exclusive) reckons that you won’t be right to see his ‘baby’ as just another premium comedy show adding to the line-up that’s already in place in the party city that is Kampala.

Dex says that Show Time Comedy hasn’t come up to compete with the already-existing comedy shows on Kampala’s weekly entertainment programme, or even to simply add to them. That rather, the new weekly comedy show is aimed at “branding individual comedians by providing  a platform for them to brand their products.”

“Every comedian is expected showcase their unique individual product once they are given an opportunity at the mic.” Says Moses aka Dex. “We look to have everyone who takes the stage doing something that’s clearly and unmistakably theirs, so they can use the opportunity to further cement their identity and originality in the comedy industry.”

Dex clarifies that his new comedy night will be providing a platform to both upcoming and established comedians and musicians to do their thing.

The sponsors of the show are Matooke Republic, Capital Fm , Media Parade, Lit Lounge and Artistic signs Uganda.
