Bryan White sued over Shs135 million debt, businessman says White has issued him death threats instead of paying his money

Self-styled tycoon and philanthropist Bryan White has been sued by a businessman, one Majanja Ephraim Kirumira, over an unpaid debt amounting to Shs135 million.

Majanja Kirumira, the proprietor of Kireka-based Majanja and Sons Enterprises Ltd, reckons that late last year, he supplied Bryan White with tentds worth Shs270 million. That Bryan White paid him half of the total amount due, Shs135 million, on October 3rd, and promised to pay the balance in three months’ time. That however ever since the three months’ grace period elapsed, Bryan White has refused to pay, instead claiming that the businessmen supplied him with tents of a quality inferior to the one they had agreed upon. The businessman says whenever he calls Bryan White to demand for his money, the self-styled tycoon issues him with threats to harm him, even death threats.

On his part Bryan White insists that he can’t pay Majanja the balance because he supplied him with very poor quality tents that had began tearing in just three days.

The case has been assigned to Justice Anna Mugenyi, but it remains unclear when it will begin to be heard.
