John Blaq says ‘a certain artiste’ is paying DJs to stop his songs from being played in bars and clubs

With hardly a year in the music industry, 22-year-old ‘Obubadi’ singer John Blaq has said during a radio interview on Capital Fm that ‘a certain musician’ whose name he refuses to disclose is paying DJs  to  stop playing his music in night spots.

John Blaq became popular in the music scene last year when his song ‘Tukwatagane’ became a club banger.  According to the Jinja-born new-kid-on-the-block, he also doesn’t know why the artiste is doing that .

The new kid on the block also attributed his love for music to the late Mowzey Radio. According to the latest music flame to come from Busoga region, he was inspired to start singing when he saw how beautiful Radio made life through music. When asked if he ever got a chance to meet the musician he said he sadly never did.

The young musician who dropped out of school after his Senior Six also said he has no plans of furthering his studies because music does the magic for him, however he attributes his musical success to ‘ Mr.Education’ as he jokingly likes to refer to school.

John Blaq also revealed that he recorded ‘Obubadi ‘ in one day and the next day released it.  The fresh musician’s other songs include Romantic, Tukwatagane, Replace me and kyoyoya. He also has a collabo with vinka called Sweet Love

And to all the single ladies out there John Blaq confirmed that he is single
