Come 5th April, 2019, all roads will lead to the Kampala Serena Hotel, and dancing shoes will be strapped on as Kampala dances away to the timeless hits of iconic Congolese singer Awilo Longomba. The “Coupe Bibamba” hit-maker will be live in Kampala for a memorable performance, supported by his entire band.

The singer confirmed his performance with a tweet he sent out on his official twitter account earlier this week:

“Walking into the new week like…. We can’t wait for @awilolongomba to bring hard beats to Uganda #AwiloLiveInKampala,” tweeted the African superstar.

Anticipation for the event that is organized by Cents events, and sponsored by the Kampala Serena Hotel and BBS Terefayina, is already underway with tickets available for sale. Tickets are available at Ugx 100,000 (general), Ugx 400,000 a VIP table and Ugx 1o million a table for 10.

“We are very excited to be bringing Awilo Longomba to Kampala. Many of us grew up listening or dancing away to his music, and we can already feel the nostalgia, thinking about how incredible the experience is going to be. And we are inviting all Ugandans and music lovers to come be a part of this memorable night,” said Vincent Nsubuga, the CEO of Cents Events.
