100% performance: 234 Kampala Parents pupils all pass in First Grade

Kampala Parents School continued its tradition of success with all 234 pupils who sat for Primary Leaving Exams last year attaining first grades.

“God is good and He has always been on our side,” the school’s principal Ms Daphine Kato said on receiving the exams results that were released by the ministry of education yesterday.  

“Children who are going to secondary school, congratulations. Continue working hard, put our school on the map and be role models,” she told the jubilant students who were at the Naguru based school to pick their results.

The school is part of business magnate Sudhir Ruperalia’s education ventures that also include Delhi Public School, Kampala International School Uganda and Victoria University.

Elizabeth Atukunda (R) was the best at KPS and she scored 4 Aggregates.

In the countrywide performance, out of the 628,606 pupils who turned up for the exams, 571,252 (90.9%) passed while 57,354 failed the exams.

UNEB Secretary General Daniel Odongo said that a total of 57,198 pupils passed Division One, 293,977 in Division Two, while 128,573 passed in Third Division. 91,504 passed in Fourth Division.
